Your Agent's Opinion is Useless: Find Out Way
Posted by Solveig Schroerlucke on
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but your agent's opinion is useless to you.
Hear me out...as a real estate agent, my job is to best represent YOU. The whole transaction is about you and your best interest.
This is why I don't share my opinions with my clients.
???? Instead, I share facts based on our current market. ????
For instance, I may tell you that before you list your home, it would be best to paint your kitchen or pre-pack your collection of dog figurines.
It's not because I think your kitchen is ugly or because I don't like dogs (quite the opposite, really!) ????
It's because I know that buyers see certain paint colors as an obstacle that keeps them from picturing themselves living in your home.
It's because I know that pre-packing…

Balancing Your Wants and Needs as a Homebuyer This Spring
Though there are more homes for sale now than there were at this time last year, there’s still an undersupply with fewer houses available than in more normal, pre-pandemic years. The Monthly Housing Market Trends Report from realtor.com puts it this way:
“While the number of homes for sale is increasing, it is still 43.2% lower than it was before the pandemic in 2017 to 2019. This means that there are still fewer homes available to buy on a typical day than there were a few years ago.”The current housing shortage has an impact on how you search for a home this spring. With limited options on the market, buyers who consider what’s a necessity versus what’s a nice-to-have will be more…

Coach a little, gain a lot!
Posted by Jake Johnson on
Every spring the snow melts, the ground turns to quicksand and kids long for school to be out. My son is wrapping up fifth grade and is about to start his third sports season with baseball. I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to coach his pee wee baseball team for the second year. He had different coaches for basketball and football and I cannot thank them enough for providing structure and inspiration to the youth they lead.
These programs cannot happen, regardless of community size, without volunteer coaches stepping up. You didn't have to be the best player or have the most experience, you just need to care. Whether it is coaching sports, music, performing arts or volunteering in some capacity, every organization is in need. Three hours a week…

What Buyers Will Pay for Homes
Posted by Alison Crim on
The snow is melting here in Madison, the sun is sneaking through the gray clouds, and inventory is slowly starting to tick up – finally! It is March, after all, and I know I speak for many when I say that we really need more homes for sale due to the volume of prospective buyers currently out there. For locations where active inventory is low, which is most towns in the greater Madison area, competition has already been fierce to start the year. An exception to this is the neighborhoods where there is active development and high inventory in that same neighborhood or close by for new construction.
The supply levels of homes active on the market, paired with buyer demand, will always determine the price of a home – what a buyer is willing to pay. A home…
