With two energetic huskies at home, our family certainly knows the importance of taking our dogs out to run and play in wide open spaces. Thankfully, we live in one of the best places in the entire country for access to dog parks – in fact, did you know that Dane County was the first park system in the United States to develop an off-leash dog park program?! 

Each park has its own unique features and terrain; here are my top 3 favorites!

If education is the silver bullet to level the playing fields, fundraising is the grip to ensure a true shot. Community financial investment has grabbed headlines of late under the guise of Name Image and Likeness (NIL) or collectives at major institutions of higher education. On a local level, there is still a need to raise funds for scholarships, experiential learning and to fund one off classroom activities. Since COVID, the average home in Madison has seen an astonishing 47% price increase- that’s in just 3 years, beating all major midwestern cities across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa.
