Almost a decade ago, I visited Madison as a prospective graduate student. I arrived skeptical of a town so far from the sunny West Coast in a state I had never visited. From the UW Madison faculty to strangers I met at The Old Fashioned, Madison locals jumped at the opportunity to tell me their favorite perks of living in Madison - sunsets at the terrace, farmers market, craft beer, and, let's not forget, cheese. I was sold.
Now, I love working with out of town buyers to show them the magic of Madison. This summer, I had the pleasure of working with out-of-town buyers, Mary and John. We toured many neighborhoods, focusing on those with proximity to biking trails and lakes- we even toured some homes on the electric city bikes!
Mary and John were delighted to close on a sun-drenched home in Middleton Hills last month. I love this neighborhood for its proximity to Pheasant Branch Conservancy and restaurants. For a wonderful afternoon, walk or bike the 3.3 mile loop at Pheasant Branch, where you'll find prairies, boardwalks, a natural spring, and a creek to play in, then stop by Craftsman Table & Tap for a refreshment. Tip: if it's a busy day, park at the Orchid Heights Park entrance. Rider and I hope to see you at the park!
