Good News to Great News, We Think

Our job as real estate agents doesn't have specific, defined role but our primary objective is to a problem solving stress reducers.  My clients James and Kaity Pauley reached out in early October with a simple message: "We're probably going to be looking to sell our house, stay tuned". Let's rewind 2.5 years ago. James and Kaity had been renting in New Berlin for quite a few years and were ready to buy a house. Interest rates were under 3%, they had good jobs, savings, and designs on moving into their own sanctuary. Well, 71 showings and 21 offers later we found them the perfect hope in the Kops Park Neighborhood in Milwaukee. Their home was on a corner with a large fenced in backyard, adorable breezeway "plant room", hardwood floors and a living bathed in natural light. Perfect!

Life changes. Kaity had received a promotion with Target Corporate in the Twin Cities and they were jumping at the opportunity. Our mission became prepare their home for  sale, get it on market, get it under contract, help them find a new house in the twin cities and try to line up the closing dates as much as possible. Oh, and Kaity was starting a new role from 330 miles away, James was identifying the new store he would join, and its the holidays. I almost forgot, its also the Christmas shopping season which makes life a little crazy at the stores.

Needless to say there was a bit of stress going into and throughout the process. Thankfully, we were able to pull together a strong team across the two states to assist them. We staged their home in advance of the listing and utilized professional photographers and cleaners to make the home sparkle insides, outside and online. I shared with them the names of two local agents in the Twin Cities to make their home shopping easy. Lisa Sorvig with Keller Williams was able to help them see 20 homes in two days and find their new dream home. Joe Long and his team at Guild Mortgage helped them navigate the loan process. Peter Zarov and Homestead Title facilitated the closing in Milwaukee around a tight timeline and holiday travel.  On December 15 they sold their home and on January 3, 2024 they closed on their brand new home in Crystal, MN.

Every day is unpredictable as agents and an opportunity to help mitigate stress for buyers, sellers and their families. This was a great way to end 2023 and kick off 2024. Congratulations to James and Kaity on starting their next adventure. Thank you for trusting myself and our team to be your partners in the process.
